Step 7. Make the fins out of cardboard and gently duct tape to costume body as appropriate.
Step 8. Pop the Giant ballon in the approximate location of the angler fish’s pee hole using your dangerously sharp scissors.
Step 9. Trace a scary mouth hole on the body. Trace an exit hole of the wearer’s head & neck on top behind eyes. Trace an large oval on underside of that is big enough to allow easy entrance & exit from the costume. Note the pee hole from step 8 is only for the fish pee not human pee.
Step 10. Triple check the locations & sizes of holes from step 9 and adjust marks until your sure everything will work.
Step 11. Gently cut the holes from Step 10.
Step 12. Have the person who will wear the costume try on the paper mâché shell while wearing the sweat suit and backpack. Adjust hole sizes & locations as needed. Help wearer to remove costume.
Step 13. Make fish lips from water wiener. Use left over foam pieces to make sharp looking teeth that poke through fish lips. Attach fish lips to costume by cutting along length of water weenie and placing foam lips along mouth.
Step 14. Paint the skin, eyes, and fins of your hideous monstrosity. This is the step were you indulge your freakish artistic talents.
Step 15. Duct tape LED flashlight to end black tubing. Attach other end of black tubing to backpack.
Step 16. After paint drys, carefully thread tubing with flashlight through head hole and then duct tape backpack to inside body of fish to help support weight of paper mâché. Duct tape card board & crumpled news paper inside fish body as needed to reinforce paper mâché.
Step 17. Have wearer try costume on again and immediately take pictures because from this point forward the costume will never be as awesome as it is at this moment.
